Hi Kenwa,
Thanks for the feature request. Unfortunately our petitions pull your primary Facebook name, not your secondary. If you would like to use your real name when signing a petition, you'll need to make your real name your primary name on your Facebook account. Thanks again for your feedback!

you ought to pull both primary and secondary names from facebook and offer us a choice as to which to sign petitions with. uses of credit cards etcetera should ask us what name is on the card.
We are exploring a feature that will enable non-Facebook users to sign petitions, but this is not something that will released in the near future. Using Facebook authentication is one way we are able confirm an individual's identity and reduce the potential for spam. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your feedback.

Always I see this in yellow above ;Your signature could not be saved (Name is not valid)
On the please of the name , there is a blue X , but the field is closed.
My zip code is correct in the field and also my country name.
So , where or what is not valid ?? And how can I restore it ??

I wish there was at least info letting us know ( it took me 20 minutes going back and forth, signing up through the causes help desk and everything to find out) that there is no way to sign a petition through the website directly and not through facebook. I refuse to download apps or associate any personal information through facebook, but wish to participate in certain causes and should be allowed to sign up with my email (which I did) but now all I can do is start my own campaign. Seriously, do I need to start a petition to get causes to interact without going through FB and twitter? Until you enable this possibility, it would have saved me and no doubt others to have a simple statement that at this time you can only go through those two channels. Which by the way is ridiculous that I can't sign petitions even though I now have an account with the Causes website.

Angel Parent-Perez
James, my name is Angel Parent-Perez, but my causes page is showing me as Khalid Flimban. How do I fix that?

Hi C. Walker,
We apologize for the confusion regarding logging into Facebook to sign a petition. At the moment, we require Facebook to log into Causes, but we plan on launching a non-Facebook login sometime next year. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

Hi Angel,
Thank you for your comment. Your name on a petition is pulled from the name attached to your Facebook profile. If you would like a different name to be shown on a petition, please change your Facebook profile name and file a support request. We'll gladly remove your original petition signature with the different name and allow you to resign with the correct name. We appreciate your patience.
