How do I redeem my Causes Gift Card and who can receive the contribution?

Causes can process donations to any registered 501(c)(3) in the United States. Search for the charity of your choice* or check out the categories section of causes.com/donate to find an organization doing work that you care about.

*Tip: for best results, search using a nonprofit's corporate name or EIN (federal tax ID number). You can find these in the GuideStar registry.

*You can only contribute to one nonprofit with your gift card.  We know it's hard to choose between so many great causes but we want your gift card to have the biggest impact possible. That means contributing as much as you can to the fundraising project or charity of your choice, so give and give big!

Redeeming your Gift Card:

There are a few simple steps to redeem your Causes Gift Card. You can also find instructions on redeeming your card on the back of the green carrier that comes with the card.

1. Go to http://www.causes.com/gift_cards/redeem

2. Enter your PIN (the number revealed by scratching off the silver area on the back of your card) and click "Redeem card"

3. Login to Facebook to attach the donation to your Causes account, or continue without logging into Facebook

4. Find a nonprofit that you care about and make a donation!

Gift Card Details:

Your gift card funds are managed by Network for Good, the nonprofit donor-advised fund that processes all donations on Causes. Network for Good will allocate your funds to the charity of your choice. They have a small fee (less than the processing fee for regular donations on Causes) for these donations and our gift card distributor also takes a fee from the purchase price of the cards. Causes does not take a fee from your gift card and we ensure that at least 80% of the purchase price goes to the nonprofit of your choice.

Giftcard Not Working?

If your pin number isn't working (you can find it by scratching off the silver rectangle on the back of your card), please file a ticket with our support team at http://support.causes.com/tickets/new with your Causes Gift Card and PIN numbers and a description of what went wrong. Please include relevant screen shots if possible.
